InfoConor lives in Granada Road in Hedge End in the centre of the Eastleigh constituency and has lived his entire adult life in southern Hampshire. Born in Belfast in 1972, he was educated at St Columba's College in St Albans before attending Southampton University where he took a degree in Modern History and Politics.

Conor is a keen cook and enjoys entertaining friends. Conor has been an enthusiastic swimmer throughout his life and works out regularly at the Hampshire Tennis and Health Club in West End where he is a member. In his spare time he enjoys watching films and reading – especially his favourite author Sebastian Faulks.

Conor has been involved in setting up two small businesses in the consultancy and Information Technology sectors. More recently Conor joined one of the country's largest insurance companies as a manager based in Hampshire.

Conor was selected to be the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Eastleigh constituency in 1999, and was the Conservative candidate in the 2001 General Election attracting the votes of over 16,000 of his fellow local residents. He was unanimously chosen by the local party to continue as the Parliamentary Spokesman in 2002.

In 1999, Conor was elected to Southampton City Council as the youngest member of the council. Representing an inner-city ward with many social and economic problems he became the spokesman on Housing and Urban Regeneration as well as the spokesman for Education and Social Services. He was elected Leader of the Conservative Group in 2001. He left the council in 2002. During his time on the council, Conor ran campaigns to save an old people's home, put more money into education, to improve street cleaning and support foster carers.

At University, Conor was chairman of the University Conservative Students and served on the National Committee of the Conservative Students looking after the Hampshire Area.

Since being chosen again to be the Parliamentary Spokesman, Conor has begun to make extended visits to local charities and voluntary groups - to find out how local and national Government could do more to help them with their work in helping those in the community who need our help most. This has included talking to those who help young people from broken families, groups that mentor the young with special problems and working a night shift at the local hospital to find out at first hand the problems that the NHS faces locally.
