Info | Henry moved to Maidenbower in 1994 when he married Jennifer. He runs his own property finance business which is based in Crawley. His favourite pastime is to relax with family, although Henry comments that chasing after his now toddling baby daughter is great fun but more of a full work-out than relaxing.
Henry's wife Jennifer, originally from the States, worked for the NHS at Crawley and East Surrey Hospitals and latterly at St George's Hospital, London as a cancer services development manager before becoming a full-time mum in 2003. In June 2004 she won election to represent Maidenbower ward on Crawley Borough Council.
Henry was first elected to represent the Furnace Green, Maidenbower, Pound Hill South & Worth division on West Sussex County Council when he defeated the Labour incumbent in May 1997. Since then he has served in every area of the County Council's responsibility. In 2003 at age 34 he became the youngest County Council Leader in the nation. He says of this role that he feels hugely privileged to be delivering some of the most important public services, such as education and social care, to the residents of Crawley and the county. As a resident and local representative, Henry knows Crawley and its priorities intimately.
In 2001 Henry was the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Crawley where he significantly reduced the Labour majority with one of the highest positive swings in the country.
