| Info | Perry served in the Georgia state Senate from 1993-96 as the first Republican elected to his district (Carroll, Douglas Counties). He served on the Appropriations, Transportation, Special Judiciary, Higher Education, Science and Technology committees. He left the Senate in order to commit more time to his very young family.
Perry served as corporate counsel for Chik-fil-A from 1996-2004, when he and his family made the decision to run for Georgia Secretary of State.
