Info | James Andrew "Jim" Courter
Jim Courter, co-founder of the firm, is a former United States congressman for the 12th District of New Jersey. While in Congress, Mr. Courter was a ranking member of the House Arms Services Committee and was the Republican Candidate for Governor of New Jersey in 1989. In 1991, President George Bush appointed Jim Courter to be Chairman of the Defense Base Closure and Realignment Commission.
Prior to his election to Congress, Mr. Courter represented numerous municipalities throughout northwest New Jersey. He was also an assistant prosecutor for Warren County.
Today, Mr. Courter's practice includes Federal and State governmental relations, administrative law and international trade matters. He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Washington D.C.
Mr. Courter received his undergraduate degree from Colgate University and his juris doctorate from Duke University.
