InfoCarolyn Warner, President of Corporate Education Consulting, Inc. (CECI), has been active for more than three decades on both state and national levels as a respected and knowledgeable public policy and educational leader. Warner has a comprehensive understanding of the relationship of fiscal, social, political, and educational issues to key concerns of government, business, and the nonprofit sector. Warner is a congressional appointee to the National Skills Standards Board, an appointee to the White House Conference on Small Business, and serves as national treasurer of Jobs for America's Graduates, the nation's most successful school-to-work transition program. Warner served three terms (1974 - 1986) as Arizona's elected state superintendent of public instruction, the first non-educator ever to hold that post. Her unique perspective is strengthened by her 20-years of experience as a business owner prior to entering public service.

Carolyn Warner is founder and president of Corporate//Education Consulting, Inc. (C//ECI). Her firm offers consulting, speaking, seminar and training services focusing on workforce/work place issues, education,
leadership, womens issues and public/private partnerships. C//ECIs clients are Fortune 500 companies,
foundations, and numerous national associations. Warner delivers over forty keynote presentations a year,
both in the U.S. and abroad. She has recently addressed three European Union conferences on life-long learning, education and skills training related topics.
Warner is a Congressional appointee to the National Skills Standards Board (NSSB) and was a delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business. She is a founder of the newly-created NSSB
Institute, a private entity created to carry on the work of the NSSB. She also serves on the automobile industrys Automotive Youth Educational System National Advisory Board, as national treasurer of Jobs for Americas Graduates, the nations most successful school-to-work transition program. Warner is a founder of Charter 100, past president of the Arizona Womens Forum, and a member of the Board of Directors of the International Womens Forum.
Warner served for twelve years as Arizonas elected state superintendent of public instruction, the first
non-educator to hold that post. Increased accountability and the formation of business-education partnerships were hallmarks of her administration. Under her leadership, Arizona had the nations first sequential job skills identification initiative. She was then her partys nominee for governor, narrowly losing in an historic threeway general election.
In 1998, Warner received an honorary doctorate from Northern Arizona University in recognition of her service to education and the community. She has also been named Policy Leader of the Year by the National Association of State Boards of Education and was the recipient of the Racial Justice Award from the YWCA of the USA. She is the author of four books, including the best selling The Last Word, A Treasury of Womens Quotes.
