| Info | John DiMaio has been an assemblyman since 2009, serving as Republican budget officer since January 2018.
First elected to public office at age 23, DiMaio was a Hackettstown councilman from 1980 to 1990, mayor from 1991 to 1999, and president of the N.J. Conference of Mayors in 1999.
