Jill Docking is an investment broker with A.G. Edwards and Sons, Inc, in Wichita, where she holds the post of Vice-President-Investments.
In 1999 Jill founded the Financial Fitness Foundation and serves as President. She was elected to the Alumni Association Board of the University of Kansas in 2001 and is a board member of Kansas Council on Economic Education, KPTS and the Hall Center for the Humanities.
Past community involvement activities include Co-chair of Kansas, Inc., a private/public partnership, Fundraising Chair for the American Cancer Society, board member for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Sedgwick County, National Conference of Christians and Jews, Kansas Committee for the Humanities, Kansas Newman College, the University of Kansas School of Business, and the Boy Scouts of America Quivira Council.
Jill was the first woman to receive a gubernatorial appointment to Commanding General of the Kansas Cavalry and was appointed by Secretary of Defense Perry to the Defense Advisory Council on Women in the Military Services. Jill also was appointed by Chief Justice Kay McFarland to co-chair the Kansas Justice Commission with Governor Bob Bennett.
Jill graduated in 1973 from McDuffie School for Girls in Springfield, MA., studied at Brown University, and received her B.A. in History and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Kansas.
Jill and her husband, Tom, the former Lieutenant Governor of Kansas, have two children.
