Ex-Democratic National Chairman & Ex-State Democratic Chairman.
For generations, the Andrews have lived, worked and raised their families in Indiana. Joe was born in Indianapolis while his father was attending I.U. He grew up in Allen County, first in Ft. Wayne, and later near the small town of Poe. After graduating Wayne High School, Joe went on to earn degrees from Yale University and Yale Law School.
Joe has been a business lawyer and small business owner for years. He's directed several nonprofit organizations, and at an unusually young age, became the Indiana State Democratic Chairman. Having spearheaded successful campaigns for Evan Bayh and Frank O�Bannon, Joe was elected as the National Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Joe has been married to Anne Slaughter for fourteen years. They have two school age children.
From Wall Street to Main Street, people know Joe Andrew as an articulate spokesman for Indiana and Hoosier values. He's been a passionate advocate for many issues directly affecting our quality of life, including improving public education, keeping taxes in check, and giving law enforcement the resources it needs to protect our families.
