Austin L. Crothers 1908-1912; elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-second and to the ten succeeding Congresses and served from March 4, 1911, until his death; chairman, Committee on Foreign Affairs (Seventy-second Congress); had been renominated to the Seventy-third Congress at the time of his death; delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1924.
