InfoWalter Moore is a 45-year-old business trial lawyer with 20 years' experience protecting the rights of individuals and corporations in state and federal courts in California. He graduated with honors in 1981 from Princeton University, where he majored in Public and International Affairs at Princeton's prestigious Woodrow Wilson School. In 1984, Moore graduated with honors from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal.

Moore is not a career politician. Like you, he works for a living, and understands that tax money doesn't fall out of the sky -- it comes out of your pocket. Moore grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, the youngest of five children, raised by a single mother who received neither child support nor public assistance. He started working at the age of 13, and attended public schools before enrolling at Princeton and Georgetown Law on scholarships

On August 4, 2003, Moore, a Republican, became the first person to register with the City Ethics Commission to challenge Mayor James Hahn in the election set for March 8, 2005. What made Moore decide to run for mayor? Long story short: news reports about Hahn's plans to spend $9 billion on LAX caught Moore's attention, and when Moore looked into the goings-on at City Hall, he did not like what he saw. As detailed on other pages at this website, there's too much waste and corruption, too much hostility towards business, too many murders, and a shamefully bad educational "system." Moore decided to use his education and legal experience to do something about it: run for mayor. Moore registered to run against Hahn long before any other candidate did, and long before prosecutors convened two grand juries to investigate Hahn's "pay-to-play" fundraising.

Moore would make a terrific mayor. The mayor's job is basically to "steer" City Hall in the right direction. Moore's training in economics and public affairs at Princeton means he will understand the policy issues; his training in law at Georgetown means he will understand the legal issues. And his 20 years' experience as a business trial lawyer means he won't take any guff from City Council Members or bureaucrats who waste your money rewarding their campaign contributors. Isn't that exactly what you want in a mayor? You want a fellow taxpayer in City Hall, not the same old career politicians. You want a man with the education, experience and attitude needed to fight corruption and waste, a man who will steer our city in the right direction. You want a tiger on your side. Moore's your man.

But can he win? Yes, for three reasons. First, the tax-and-spend candidates -- Hahn, Alarcon, Hertzberg and Parks -- are splintering their voting base by attacking one another. Second, Moore's positions on the issues appeal not just to Republicans, but also to moderate, tax-paying Democrats who understand that "politics as usual" isn't working. Third, thanks to the internet, ordinary taxpayers like you can elect Moore by spreading the word to your friends, and telling them to do the same. Your friends can learn all about Moore's platform and qualifications from this website -- just as you are right now. Get this: if you tell five of your friends about Moore, and they tell five friends, and this happens just eight times, guess what? Moore would have 390,000 voters behind him -- far more than the majority that elected Hahn in 2001!

So now it's your turn to take action to clean up City Hall: e-mail a link to this website to five of your friends, and remember to vote for Moore in March 2005. Do it. You don't have to settle for mediocrity or corruption in the mayor's office. Moore is better.
