Meigs, Jr., and served from December 15, 1810, until December 1, 1814, when he resigned, having been elected Governor; Governor of Ohio 1814-1818; canal commissioner from 1818 until his death; member, State house of representatives 1821-1822; died in New York City June 20, 1827; interment in Grandview Cemetery, Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio
