1955 - Bill Wortman graduates from Tulsa's Central High School
1956 - Bill joins the U.S Navy is assigned duties as a cook. Serves part of his two year enlistment on the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga.
1962 - Returning to Oklahoma, Bill earns a degree in Mechanical Engineering from OSU.
1963 - With his new degree Bill takes a job with Brown Engineering. He works on the team building the launch umbilical tower for the Saturn V rocket.
1968 - After leaving the aerospace industry, Bill Wortman pursues his lifelong dream of running his own business. Wortman Central Air opens for business in Tulsa.
1979 - The Wortmans celebrate the birth of their first child. They name their son, Perry.
1983 - Daughter MacKenzie is adopted into the Wortman family
1985 - Bill's future stepdaughter Emily is born.
1986 - Bill Wortman is named Chairman of the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce Council on Small Business. He also serves on the Board of Directors though 1989.
1997 - Since the children were growing up and moving out of the house Wortman and wife Mary Jane adopt two orphans from Russia, Alexander and Roman.
2004 - Bill Wortman announces he is a Republican candidate for Congress in the 1st Congressional District
