| Info | I was born in the Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois in 1962 and grew up in Decatur, IL. My parents were both alumni of Northwestern University. My mother was a nurse and my father worked as a Civil Engineer. I became a Christian on October 9, 1983 while watching an evangelist on TV. I attended first Richland Community College majoring in Art. I stopped school when I met my husband in 1984. I worked as a homemaker and mother until January of 1996, when I returned to school at the College of Micronesia - FSM to get my AA Degree while my husband was teaching there. We then moved to Hilo, Hawaii so I could attend the University of Hawaii -Hilo, where I just received my BA in Art. I now teach Art at St. Francis School on Kauai. My homemaking duties continue for my family.
I met my husband (Eugene) in Decatur, IL at the church I attended in March of 1984, we had three dates, then got engaged and married in August of 1984. We have two boys, our first was born in Decatur, IL in October of 1985, and our second in St. Louis, MO in August of 1987. I have been a conservative republican ever since I met Gene and registered to vote as his wife. I have two sisters and one brother living in different parts of the country. My father lives in Decatur, Illinois. We moved to Hawaii in August of 1997, after finishing my Two Year Associates Degree at the College of Micronesia - FSM, in the Federated States of Micronesia, on the Island of Pohnpei.
I ran for the US House in 1998, winning the Republican nomination, and running against Representative Patsy Mink the current Democratic Congresswoman for Hawaii District #2.
I received over 50,000 votes spending a small amount for the campaign.
