During his tenure as Chair of the Parks and Recreation Committee Addabbo sought to protect and maintain parks and recreational areas throughout the city. He believes that parks are an integral part of our city and that is why he was the key sponsor of the Adopt-A-Park law. He was recently elected Chair of the Civil Service and Labor Committee.

It is his intent as Council Member for the 32nd Council District to utilize this knowledge to benefit the residents of New York City.
Addabbo is happily married to the former Dawn Puricelli of Glendale and they are the proud parents of a daughter, Alexis Jules.
