Son of the late St. Rep. William J. Healy.

FAMILY:

William J. Healy II, known as “Jamey” by his friends and family, is married to Dee since 1997 and has one child named Austin, who is six years old. Healy and his two sisters are the children of the late William J. Healy, former long term State Representative and Canton City Councilman. Healy is currently the President and founder of the Austin Healy Group Inc., which is a strategic marketing consulting firm that represents clients throughout the Eastern United States and Canadian markets.





EDUCATION:

William J. Healy II was born in Canton’s Aultman Hospital in 1962 and was raised in Canton attending Madge Youtz Elementary School and Crenshaw Junior High. He then graduated from Canton McKinley Senior High in 1981. Healy earned an Associates Degree in Science from Kent State University – Stark Campus, a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Rowan University (summa cum laude) in New Jersey, and earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Management from the Stern School of Business at New York University.





WORK HISTORY:

William J. Healy II has owned a strategic marketing consulting business since 1998 focusing on business development for domestic and international manufacturing and distribution companies. Prior to starting his own business, he had 12 years experience in supply chain management and 5 years in retail management.





POLITICAL:

William J. Healy II was a candidate in the Democratic Primary for Canton City Mayor in 2003 coming up 70 voters short. Prior to defeating the incumbent and two others in the Democratic Primary for State Representative this year, he has also been involved in dozens of political campaigns throughout the years, serving in many capacities including Campaign Manager. He was Chairman and founding member of the Entrepreneur Executive Masters of Business Association (E.E.M.B.A.) at New York University.





ASSOCIATIONS:

Healy is an associate member of the American Legion Post 44; guest member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3747; member of the Canton Negro Oldtimers Athletic Association; member of the Greater Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce; member of the Jefferson–Jackson Democratic Club of Greater Canton; and has served on the Education and Government Affairs committees for the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA).
