Why Libertarian?
I have been a member of the Libertarian Party for thirteen years, and I believe government should play a limited role in our lives.
However, the State Treasurer does not write or pass legislation, or sign it into law. The State Treasurer�s job is to ensure that tax dollars are spent as directed by statute. My political position on any specific issue should not and will not affect how I will perform the duties of Utah State Treasurer.
