i have to say.. im very surprised and impressed by her Senate campaign. The Dems should pour all the money they have available here... Putting money into Missouri would help party building in the off years and show that it hasn't went solidly red over the past few years... i mean only in 2000 it was considered among the top of the tossup states... it seems only natural to assume it still is... kerry pulled outta here WAY too soon.

is it fair to say that if she wins this senate race. (probably narrowly) then wins re election, she'll be on the short list for veep in the future?

That would mean that she'd win re-election in 2012, and the first pres race after that would be 2016, and she'd be 63.

Looks like McCaskill narrowly won Barbara Boxer's poll for her PAC money over Casey...
Congratulations to Claire McCaskill (MO) -- the winner of our online vote to determine which Democratic Senate challenger our PAC for a Change community would support next!
Even after more than 63,000 votes, the final results literally came down to the wire. McCaskill supporters made a huge "get out the vote" push in the final days and narrowly overtook Bob Casey on the last day of voting. Congratulations also go out to Bob Casey for his very strong 2nd place showing.
We'll be sending a fundraising email on Claire's behalf to our entire PAC for a Change list in the coming weeks
Final Results
Claire McCaskill (MO) 24%
Bob Casey (PA) 23%
Sherrod Brown (OH) 12%
Amy Klobuchar (MN) 11%
Barbara Ann Radnofsky (TX) 11%
Pete Ashdown (UT) 7%
Jim Webb (VA) 6%
Erik Fleming (MS) 3%

I can only surmise that Ashdown, Radnofsky, and Fleming had links to the poll on their website.

This was the right call - glad to see it. Casey didn't need the money, and was too conservative for Boxer's PAC anyway. I thought he'd pull it off just on name recognition.

It actually looks like her unlike than the one we had. But of course, you're the king so why don't you go ahead and change it.
