InfoFor Steven Adam, caring for the needy while holding the line on spending works in more than theory. To Adam, it is a dual responsibility he has practiced all his life.

Born in 1954 in Philadelphia, Steven Adam spent much of his boyhood in Ecuador as the son of missionaries serving there. Today, Adam, who speaks Spanish fluently, is a Quality Control Manager who has helped many businesses cut waste in order to concentrate spending on what is vital. At the same time, Steven Adam presides over the Franklin County Community Meals Program, a self-sustaining non-profit organization that feeds the hungry in several towns and keeps a food pantry in Adam’s town of residence, Orange. In keeping with his pattern of promoting the economic and general well being of all of society, Steven Adam also serves as both an economic development official and as a volunteer with demonstrated interest in serving, among others, war veterans.

Steven Adam won both political seats for which he ran in Orange: the Board of Selectmen, on which he has served since 2002 and the Board of Assessors, on which he served from 2000 to 2003. Adam is also a member of the town Economic Development & Industrial Corporation, the Orange Master Plan Committee and the Republican Town Committee. Adam also chaired the 29th Bomb Group Reunion (the World War II Air Force unit in which his father, a disabled veteran, served) in Leominster in 2001, and he served as an Ex-Officio member of the Wheeler Memorial Library Design & Building Committees.
