InfoGene Amondson was born near Mt. Ranier WA. He grew up in a logging camp, where he experienced the ill effects of alcohol, destroying the families of workers.

Amondson earned a BA in Biology at Warner-Pacific College in Portland OR, and then earned a M.Div. from Asbury Seminary in Kentucky. While a student as Asbury, Amondson came across the text of Billy Sunday's famous sermon against alcohol.

Amondson has been active with the WCTU since 1982. He has spoken about the ravaging effects of drugs and alcohol from America to New Zealand to Africa for the last 25 years. He provides a gripping dramatization of Billy Sunday's sermon on temperance--the same sermon the liquor industry offered Billy Sunday one million dollar to quit preaching 70 years ago.

Amondson first became aware of the Prohibition Party in the mid-1980s, at which time he was not invited to participate. After the division in the Prohibition Party, Amondson was approached by the majority faction and has worked with them. He was the candidate for President in 2004 and was re-nominated in 2008. At the midterm conference in 2005, Amondson was chosen as national chairman of the Prohibition National Committee; he was re-elected in 2007 for a four-year term.
