InfoDave Chandler and his family have made their home in Arvada for over eleven years. He, and his wife, Kate, have two children attending public school in Arvada - a son in ninth grade and a daughter in third grade.

He operates a home-based desktop publishing business and is editor of www.earthside.com. His wife is a Jefferson County librarian.

Dave is chairperson of the local Sierra Club-Rachel Carson Group. He is chairperson of the Accountability Committee at his daughter's elementary school. Dave has previously run for Arvada city council and was chairman of The Arvada Good Government Committee. He has been a leader in balanced growth and government reform efforts in Arvada since 1995.

A native of Wyoming, he was born in 1956, attended public schools in Casper, and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1975. Active in politics, in 19976 he was the youngest person elected a state Democratic Party Committeeman. Also in 1976, he worked on the campaign staff of then Wyoming Congressman Teno Roncalio.

Since moving to Colorado in 1987, Dave has completed his Bachelors Degree in History, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Metropolitan State College of Denver. His home-based business has allowed him the flexibility to play a major role in raising his children. He has proudly spent most of the last thirteen years as a stay-at-home dad. Because of this experience, Dave has a unique outlook on the situations of average families living in the seventh congressional district.

After being active in Democratic Party for many years, Dave has found the Green Party to more closely agree with his views on campaign finance reform, social justice, environmental concerns, and peace and liberty issues
