Betty Orten, 79, of Westminster, died November 24, 2006. Betty served as a State Representative for four terms, served as the House Caucus Chairperson, served as the Democratic State Vice Chairperson, served on the Democratic National Committee and was the Adams County Democratic Chairperson. In 1951, she married Russell Sage Orten, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Rusty, of Boulder, Jerry, of Broomfield, Frank, of Littleton, and Bruce, of Westminster. Also survived by her sisters, MaryLouise Woodward of Silver Springs, MD, and Barbara Hively, of Sun City, AZ, and seven grandchildren.
