Stanley; reelected to the seven succeeding Congresses and served from April 14, 1953, until January 3, 1969; was not a candidate for reelection in 1968 to the Ninety-first Congress; was a resident of South Boston, Va., until his death on June 9, 1983; interment at Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Boston, Va.
