| Info | Jesse Sbaih, a first generation immigrant, is running for Congress for one simple reason – to ensure that all Americans have the opportunity to achieve their American Dream, the very same opportunity he had.
When Jesse was 11 years old, his family came to America from Jordan in search of a better life. One year later, at the age of 12, Jesse got his first job, working as a dishwasher in a local Italian restaurant. His father worked in both insurance and law, and obtained a Masters in Law (LLM) from California Western School of Law. His mother earned a Masters Degree in early childhood education from Norfolk State University while caring for the family.
The values of hard work, and the strong belief that we create opportunity for others through education are deeply engrained in Jesse. He followed in his father’s footsteps and set his sights at serving his new country through law so he could be a voice for others. Jesse attended the University of Miami in Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science, cum laude. He went on to earn a Juris Doctor degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, cum laude.
While in law school, Jesse was awarded the Jefferson Scholarship. Also, among other honors, Jesse was awarded the American Jurisprudence Bancroft-Whitney Award in Legal Writing and Arbitration, he was named in the 2000-2001 Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges, and was on Law Review and was the Student Bar Association vice president. Upon graduation from law school, Jesse became a Judicial Law Clerk for Nevada’s Supreme Court Vice-Chief Justice Cliff Young, and worked with several other distinguished law firms before founding Jesse Sbaih & Associates.
Jesse is currently a successful business owner and attorney, who has been fighting for the rights of consumers and those taken advantage of for over 14 years. During that time, he has been an integral part of ensuring that those who he represented received a swift and just resolution, resulting in making businesses change their unsafe and oppressive business practices and recovering millions of dollars for his clients.
Jesse and his wife, Dr. Sameera Sbaih, live in Henderson with their three school-aged children.
