Chuck Devore won his March Primary race to become the next Assembly member to represent the 70th Assembly district. This area is considered safe Republican terriotory so Chuck is assured to join the legislature after the November election.

Chuck has been involved in politics nearly all of his life. In college he started the College Republican Club. He has served as a Regan White House appointee in the pentagon and was Congressman Cox�s Senior Assistant. Chuck was elected as a member of the Orange County Republican Party Committee in 1992.

Chuck has been a member of the Army reserves for 21 years, and he has served as an Irvine City Commissioner, as well as Vice Chairman of the Community Services Commission.

Chuck has worked in the aerospace and defense industry. He is a vice president with SM&A, a Newport Beach project management and systems engineering firm employing more than 300 people nationwide with revenues of $75 million in 2003. He has been married to his wife Diane for 16 years, and they have 2 daughters, Jennie and Amy.
