| Info | Reginald "Reggie" Beamon (D-Waterbury), an Assistant Majority Leader in the Connecticut House of Representatives, - was f irst elected to the Legislature from Waterbury's 72nd Assembly District in 1986. Beamon presently serves on the General Assembly's Finance, Revenue & Bonding Committee as well as the Legislative Management Committee.
In addition, Beamon sits on the Executive Board of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL) where he contributes and directs legislation of mutual interest to the African-American community as a member of their International Affairs Committee. He is the elected chairman of NBCSL's Region I, which is made up of approximately 50 legislators from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Rhode Island. Beamon also serves on the Council of State Goverment's Eastern Regional Conference (CSG/ERC) Executive Committee.
Beamon earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Connecticut. A Waterbury native, Beamon resides in the City with his wife Judy and their three children.
