| Info | Dr. Marilyn F. O�Grady has practiced ophthalmic surgery in Nassau County for the past 16 years. Dr. O�Grady currently serves on the staff of Winthrop University Hospital, Long Island SurgiCenter.
Marilyn was born and raised in the modest suburban community of Bellmore. Her father John Fitzgerald was a New York City Police Detective and her mother Anita Hernandez was a homemaker. Youngest of five children, Marilyn graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Hicksville. She received her bachelor�s degree in Toxicology and master�s degree in Pharmacology/Toxicology from St. John�s University. Marilyn subsequently received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
While attending St. John�s, Marilyn was awarded a teaching fellowship. She taught undergraduates in Pharmacy and later taught for almost a decade at Downstate/Kings County Hospital. Marilyn and her husband John, a dentist, have been married for twenty- four years and reside in Garden City, New York.
