Personal: 51 years old, married to Suzanne for 27 years , four children ages 13-22. Oldest stationed in Alaska (Iraq for 14 months) working for the U.S. Department of Offense â notified of a stop loss deployment to Afghanistan in early 2009.
Professional: Various roles in the design and marketing of industrial automation control systems to a wide base of manufacturers since 1979.
Political: Vice Chairman, Constitution Party of Oregon. Veteran of three congressional campaigns.
Biggest political blunder: Wasted 20 years naively hoping the Republican Party would finally get their act together.
2nd biggest political blunder: Believing George Bush in 2000 when he committed to a humble foreign policy with no nation building. Didn'tât get fooled again in 2004.
Favorite politician: Congressman Ron Paul. He almost never gets it wrong when it comes to voting to defend the Constitution.
Pro-life activities: Former Director of Life Advocates, Houston TX. Former Director of Life Support Oregon. Some efforts with Operation Rescue 1988-1989 included a couple trips through our kangaroo court system.
Anti-war Efforts: Spoke out against the illegal invasion of Iraq before we got sucked into that nation-wrecking calamity under false pretenses. Formed Believers Against the War to reach out to evangelicals. Calls Afghanistan an equally bloody quagmire with no legally defined, or authorized mission.
Favorite documentary: "The Matrix"
Favorite whitewater: Kayaking the upper Clackamas River from Fish Creek to Bob's Hole.
Favorite golf: Eagle Creek Golf Course â par 72, cut out of the woods, with Mt. Hood views. Only ten bucks for nine holes weekdays.
Education: BS â Industrial Distribution, Clarkson College of Technology, Potsdam NY, 1979.
Community Service: Former Boring Volunteer Firefighter. (Yes, that is the actual town name.)
Faith: The political solutions we seek will continue to fail us. That is a given. Our only hope is in Jesus Christ and the blood He shed for our sins.
