InfoHometown Boy
Paul was born in 1963 at the old Edmond Hospital downtown. He grew up on Rankin Street and attended Orvis Risner Elementary. Paul graduated from Edmond High School in 1981. Even though school and work took him away for periods of time, Paul always chose to keep his home in Edmond.

Growing up, Paul attended Edmond First Baptist Church. Paul’s parents, Bill and Bernice Blair, were one of the original families who left First Baptist as part of a church-planting mission and started a small church in east Edmond. Today that church is known as Henderson Hills.

Off to the Gridiron
Paul attended Oklahoma State University where he studied business finance. Through hard work and determination, Paul became a two-time All Big 8 lineman on the Cowboy football team. He was drafted by the Super Bowl champion Chicago Bears and spent five seasons playing in the NFL.

True to his blue-collar work ethic, in his very first NFL start, Paul was named the “Frito-Lay Unsung Hero of the Game” in a 1987 Sunday night division championship game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Starting a Small Business
Recognizing that football was only temporary, after his rookie season, Paul and his oldest brother started a small business in Edmond – Blair Vending and Coffee. The company offers full service vending and commercial coffee and beverage service to businesses throughout central Oklahoma.

Now in its 25th year of operation and still based in Edmond, the company has employed hundreds of Edmond residents over the years.

Called into the Ministry
While always active in his church, in 2001, Paul felt a calling to move into formal ministry.

Paul’s father was an architect, but later in life he became a bi-vocational minister. Paul’s father pastored a small country church at the corner of Danforth and Sooner Road that's now named Fairview Baptist Church.

Today, following in his father’s footsteps, Paul pastors Fairview Baptist. The church plays an active role in our community with ministries ranging from kids church to senior citizens outreach.

Grass Roots Leader
Although he’s never served in elected office, Paul has been an active citizen, participating in grass roots and volunteer activities in support of conservative causes for many years.

Paul is a longtime participant in the annual pro-life Rose Day activities at the state Capitol and has testified before numerous House and Senate committees. He’s served as a GOP precinct chairman, on the Oklahoma County GOP platform committee and as the state House’s Chaplain.

As a founder of the group Reclaiming Oklahoma for Christ, Paul has spoken across the state and nation about our nation’s Christian roots. From John Locke to William Blackstone and our Founding Fathers, Paul is a student of American government and its origins. He strongly believes in limited, Constitutional government and original intent.

Starting a School
Because of his love for education, 5 years ago, Paul began exploring the possibility of opening a school at Fairview Baptist. The church is located on the site of the old Jack school, and today the property has come full circle. In a joint ministry with Christian Heritage Academy, the church is now home to a K-5 elementary school, offering parents an additional choice for private, Christian education in our area.

Family
Paul and his wife, Cindy, met at OSU. They have been married for 22 years. Cindy is a fitness instructor at Integris and also helps with the family vending business.

The Blairs have two children – Joshua, a freshman at the University of Central Oklahoma and Jacob, a junior at Christian Heritage Academy.
