InfoBorn and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the youngest of three children growing up in the McKennan Park area. A graduate from Lincoln High School, Steve attended the University of South Dakota where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation from the “U”, Steve worked for a Fortune 100 company in various roles for more than 16 years learning strong business acumen and leadership skills. Currently, Steve is a partner in a Sioux Falls based healthcare development company that specializes in housing for those suffering from dementia.

Steve and his wife, Julie, have been married for 17 years, and are proud parents of 3 children – Graham, Griffen, and Elle, all are enrolled in the Sioux Falls Public School system. He and his family attend Central Baptist Church and both Steve and Julie are active members of the community serving on several boards and committees. Julie is currently serving her first term as a member of the Sioux Falls School Board.

While most of Steve’s free time is spent attending sporting events for his children, he enjoys going to the lake, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Steve will work hard to be a strong voice for the residence of District 13 and South Dakota overall. He knows the future of South Dakota is directly linked to the success of our primary, secondary, and university education systems. He also understands that small business drives our economy and will continue the South Dakota tradition of low taxes and minimal regulation, that make South Dakota a great place to live, relocate, start businesses, and create jobs.
