My name is Chance White and I’m running for U.S. President this coming general election in November. I’m a write-in candidate on an independent party ticket whose name will not show on the ballot. My declaration of intent has been filed with the State of Idaho. I’m not a politician, lawyer, CEO of some business corporation nor am I a graduate of Harvard University. In truth, you shouldn’t vote for me. The fact is, someone like me should never even consider running for such an honorable office.
So who am I and why am I running? I’m a common man with common wants and common needs. Like any man, I want to live in peace bearing no ill will towards my fellow man, neither in this country nor any other. I would have this nation be a place where children can play without being victimized. A place where a man is not stabbed, beaten, robbed or shot simply because of the clothes he is wearing. A place where a family is not brutally murdered by gang members because they took a wrong turn off the freeway exit and wound up on a street they claim in some turf war. I abhor violence, but there is a time for everything under the sun. Yet here I am, willing to run for the Presidency. Why? Because I love this nation and I’m willing to fight for it at the highest level. I’m far from perfect. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my past. Unlike the government, I’ve learned from them. I’m not influenced by special interest groups, lobbyists, nor can I be bought. The God-given right to govern is vested in the sovereign authority of the whole people. I would pray that you vote for me, that I might set things right. Bring jobs to the nation; remove programs that don’t benefit the people, only the ones who run them. ‘Clean’ house of those positions in Washington that are contrary to the interests of the people, repeal Obama’s health care, invoke real homeland security and work with Congress to establish the defining lines of who we are and what we stand for. For example, passing a bill that clearly states; there will be no desecration of the flag, no spitting, no burning, no tearing nor use in advertising.
