InfoMark Oxner and his family have lived the American dream.

His mother’s parents were poor sharecroppers in the backwoods of Mississippi with no electricity or running water. His father was born to a young teen mother and experienced harsh poverty growing up. Despite never having learned to read, through hard work his father became one of the top welders at Avondale shipyards.

Mark's family instilled in him this same work ethic. Mark worked his way through college as a pipe fitter (in the same shipyard as his father), as an auto-mechanic, and then as a bookkeeper. After Mark graduated with a BS degree in Accounting from the University of New Orleans, he started the first of many small businesses in his long career. He went on to work in the financial, manufacturing, and transportation industries and has started three small businesses.

In 1989 Mark married his wife Amparo, who also comes from a family that fought to achieve the American dream. Her Cuban and Panamanian parents were missionaries who moved to America knowing no English and with only $300 to their name. But they worked hard, pastored a church, and instilled traditional values in their children. Now Mark and Amparo have two of their own home schooled daughters who are learning the same lessons as their parents.

Mark and his family saw Central Florida as the land of opportunity, and have made it their home for almost 20 years. They want to make sure that the American dream is protected and preserved for generations of Floridians to come.
