| Info | As a top-producer for 15 years in corporate sales as Gulf Coast Sales Manager for the only national, full-service marine supply company in the U.S., providing meat/food products; institutional kitchen/galleyware, and industrial hardware/technicalware to Fortune 500 Comp-anies, such as major oil companies, offshore drilling firms, U.S. Government-service organ-izations, geological seismic companies, international shipping firms, heavy-marine, and U.S. Military accounts, I bring a wealth of experience when it comes to the business world, esp-ecially in the oil/gas sector, besides shipping and international trade. Having worked for an oil company in Texas, I learned a great deal about the U.S. oil and gas industry, from explor-ation, production, and drilling, to refining and marine transportation. Prior to my business career, I was in Education as a public-school Senior English teacher, and am now doubly-certified in Texas to teach English and Business Marketing, which requires overall compreh-ension of many aspects in business. Recently, I wrote and taught a course at the University of Houston’s main campus for oil executives on how to improve writing and speaking skills, and still do part-time tutoring for College Board English SAT’s and Essay Writing. In the past, I have also been a Personal Caregiver for an elderly patient at home, where I gained keen insight into and knowledge of legal and financial matters in the Healthcare Industry and Estate Property Management. Currently the Broker of my own real estate firm, I feel cap-able of helping a business to become successful in just about any field, whether it be in Mark-eting/Sales, Administration/Management, or on the Senior-Executive Level.
A perfectionist in my work, studies, and extra-curricular activities, I was Valedictorian of my high school class and received special academic awards in Math and Biology. Having graduated from college with an almost 4.0 grade-average, I enjoy and excel in researching several topics of interest or concern, investigating each thoroughly until all possible avenues are exhausted. Besides achieving top scores in extra courses in Education and Real Estate, I have also exhibited competitiveness in the business arena as a million-dollar sales producer.
By the same token, however, I have tested as a team-player in many “personality-profiles”, and they all exhibit one outstanding feature— that my deep desire is to help others. I genuinely care about other people, and see this as my primary purpose in life. Along with superior communication skills in writing and speaking, and my general knowledge of and experience in so many areas of the business world, I would welcome the future opportunity and challenge of becoming a stellar asset for my District in the U.S. Congress.
I would very much like to help turn America around, and preserve the beloved Country I knew growing up and in which I have lived my adult life, for the sake of my two children, Sarah and Rich, whom I raised on my own, and my five grandbabies-- ages 6 and under-- whom I love very much, as well as for the sake of all our children and grandchildren.
