InfoDale Brueggemann was born on July 1, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents Donald and Beatrice Brueggemann–Dale’s father was serving in the Missouri Air National Guard, and his mother was a homemaker. During Dale’s younger years, he attended parochial school and then attended public school in rural Missouri. Dale moved to Tennessee in time for high school, where he graduated in 1977. Dale joined his parents in Seguin in 1982, whereupon he joined his father in starting a family distribution business. In 1983, the business hired their first employee, Carolina Tijerina. Dale and Carolina were married in 1984, and remain together to this day. They have 4 children. Ben, who attended Texas State University and currently works in the family business; Kellie, who graduated from Texas State University in 2007 and currently works in the family business; Bradley, a 2009 Texas A&M University graduate and a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, currently deployed in Afghanistan; and Erica, who is a 2011 graduate of Texas A & M University.

Like many parents, Dale takes great enjoyment and pride in his active role in his children’s lives. He coached many little league teams and was the booster club president for the Seguin High School NJROTC unit two years in a row. For the past five years, Dale has been the Aggie Corps Recruiter for the Seguin area. Because of this role, he has had the privilege of assisting various high school seniors in attending Texas A&M University and becoming members of the Corps of Cadets, with several of these students receiving service connected scholarships.

The family business is like many small businesses. The company, a manufacturer of food product labels, currently employs 15 employees, with a mix of family and non-family members. Many of these employees have been with the business for many years and are considered part of the family. Dale feels this aspect is important because it demonstrates his understanding that you must take care of your employees and treat them like you would want to be treated. In consideration of how small business must work harder in recent years, Dale knows it’s the employees who make the difference in a small business’s success.

Why Dale

As I grow older I tend to think back to my younger years. Those were days in the late sixties and the seventies, and much of what I remember tends to revolve around simpler times and less problems, or so it seems. I attended school in both suburban and rural areas and not once can I remember any police patrolling the schools, and if a student disrupted class or broke a rule, the teacher and school administrators took care of the issue quickly. Of course, there was crime and other issues that are similar to those we face today, but from my recollection, those times were different for several reasons.

Unfortunately, I believe the greatest country in the history of the world has fell off the path that made it great.

Our country’s tradition of having great leaders has been replaced, mainly by career politicians who cater to special interest groups that in turn, support their continuous candidacy of being re-elected.

This continuing failure to make the hard decisions in deference to what may be “politically correct,” has brought this country now to one of its greatest challenges–righting the course. It is because of this situation that I, as a proud American and Texan, have decided I can no longer stand idle.

I believe one of my greatest strengths lie in the fact that I am not a politician in any form. Also unlike most politicians, I am not a lawyer. Nor am I a member of any special interest group.

I believe one of my greatest strengths lie in the fact that I am not a politician in any form. Unlike most politicians, I am not a lawyer, nor am I a member of any special interest group. Instead, I am an independent thinking American, a small family businessman who has to take care of his family and employees, a husband of 27 years, a father to four children, and a concerned citizen that loves this country for what it is and what it represents to everyone, now and for future generations.

I believe those who represent us in Washington have lost their way and their backbone. To best represent your constituents, one must listen first and then act upon the peoples’ wishes. Our country and our district sorely miss this type of representation.

I believe we must return to conservative thinking and contrary to what some may say, morality, civility, family values and respect for God and others have not become out of date and in fact, this country sorely misses these traditions.

It is time to have someone with leadership that can help return us to our core values.

In closing, my philosophy is simple. This country faces some of its most challenging times. It has faced times such as these before. The financial direction of our great country must be addressed quickly and correctly, while we continue to protect our citizens from world-wide enemies bent on our destruction and finding solutions to a multitude of gravely important issues that pose a danger to our own American way of life.

While some might find the following words, “Honor, Duty, Country” coupled with “Hard-Work”, “Fairness to All” and “Respect” as hollow and out of date, I promise you, they are more necessary than ever before.

I understand the current attitude in Washington is our representatives will make the choices they believe are best for us. That’s not what our nation’s founders envisioned when they formed our nation. We have a representative government, and our representatives must listen to the people they represent. I have no illusions regarding the task at hand. I will not wait in making that a reality in Washington if given the opportunity.
