Cheryl Chase was born in Phoenix, Arizona, attended Roosevelt Grammar School and graduated from South Mountain High School. She married Rod Chase and moved to Kearny, Arizona in 1973. They have two children, Robyn and RD, and four grandchildren. They belong to the Fellowship Baptist Church in Kearny, Arizona.

Representative Chase was elected into the House of Representatives in November 2000 for the 45th First Regular Legislative Session beginning January 08, 2001. She is an employee of ASARCO in the Safety Department, where she works as an Licensed Practical Nurse, (LPN) and is also a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). She is also a member of the Ray High School, School Board.

Since joining the Legislature, she is on several national committees: The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). Cheryl is also a member of the ALEC Energy, Environment, Natural Resources & Agriculture Task Force (EENRA). A member of the Women in Government, (WIG) and also the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC). Representative has just completed the first half of her first term.

She is on the following committees at the State Legislature: The Health Committee, Natural Resources & Agriculture Committee, the Military, Veteran Affairs, and Aviation Committee.

During the Interim she is a member of the following committees: Study Committee for the Police Training Facility in Casa Grande, Arizona, AD HOC Committee on Arizona?s Business Climate, and AD HOC Study Committee on Senior Programs. Also, Cheryl is a member of the Joint Legislative Committee on Federal Mandates, Joint Legislative Committee on the Implementation of Proposition 204, Joint Legislative Study Committee on the Integration of Health Care Services, and the Study Committee on Arizona?s 911 System.
