Juan Ochoa is a proven leader with a record of getting things done. As the Chief Executive Officer for McCormick Place and Navy Pier, he managed North America’s largest convention center and the Midwest’s top tourist and entertainment destination. He has devoted his life to creating jobs, building community organizations and helping people become citizens. Juan has the experience, dedication and detailed plans to finally bring real change to Cicero.

Juan is a combat-decorated veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps who proudly served our nation in the infantry in Operation Desert Storm.
Juan is a proven business leader committed to creating jobs in Cicero. For more than ten years, Juan served as President of the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, leading the organization’s efforts to grow our economy. He understands how to attract new employers to Cicero and how to help Cicero businesses grow and create jobs.
Juan came to the U.S. from Mexico when he was eight years old. Just like many residents of Cicero, his family came to America with nothing but hope for a better life. As a community organizer, he has helped thousands of people reach their dreams of American citizenship.
Juan puts families first. Juan understands the challenges all families face. He has a son and two daughters and he and his wife Alma are committed to improving the quality of life for all families in Cicero. Juan will fight every day for good jobs, quality schools and safe communities.
