InfoA local businessman and former municipal councilmember, Chris Brown currently is serving his second year of a three-year term, having been sworn as a member of the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders on January 2, 2009. He has immediate oversight over the “justice” side of County government, including the Prosecutor’s office, the courts and corrections, and also all three County schools (Burlington County College, Burlington County Institute of Technology, and Special Services), all of which have played key roles in the County’s recent economic growth. Brown is the owner and founder of the Guardian Settlement Agents title insurance agency, the Guardian Property & Casualty general insurance agency and is owner and managing partner of seven RE/MAX real estate offices statewide, including one in Marlton. Before becoming a Freeholder, Brown served as Deputy Mayor in Evesham Township. In each of his government positions, Brown has donated his salary to local charitable causes. He has been honored for his work with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and is active in the “One Child Saved” youth service organization. Brown is also actively involved in the Marlton Recreation Council as a tots wrestling coach. He, and his wife, Deanna Fahy-Brown have three sons.
