Info | Eric Bikas has lived in Easley his entire life and feels a strong since of duty to the people of the Upstate and South Carolina. Eric attended East End Elementary School, where at a very young age he became interested in the workings of State Governments. As he moved into Getty’s Middle School and became active in the Student Body Government, he was elected by the teaching staff to be a Classroom Representative. By the time Eric had entered into Easley High School he had becoming increasingly interested in Politics. After graduating from High School he attended Orlando Culinary Academy. Eric moved to Orlando with $673.00 in his bank account and he knew that to make it he would need to get a job, pay his bills and graduate from Culinary School. Eric worked very hard to pay his bills and complete school and is proud to say that he is a Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School Magna cum laude graduate. After graduating from school and moving back to the Upstate, Eric jumped in the restaurant business feet first after taking over management and part ownership of Aunt Sue’s Country Corner; on scenic Highway 11 in Pickens County. A few years later even in a tough economy, Eric expanding his business to include a second restaurant, opening Bikas Drive-In; on Highway 253 in Greenville County. Eric loves the Customer Service aspect of the restaurant industry and is right at home talking one on one with people.
Eric loves the outdoors as well as being very active, while in school he was on the wrestling team and played on a Competitive Soccer league. Eric and his black lab Rollie enjoy hiking. Eric has helped his brother, Kevin walk over 340 miles on the Appalachian Trail. As an avid Atlanta Braves and Carolina Panthers fan Eric would like nothing more than to catch his favorite teams playing. Unfortunately with his very hectic work schedule he doesn’t see as many games as he would like.
Eric is a member of his childhood church; Overbrook First Baptist Church, and feels that being a Christian plays an important role in his life. Eric’s father, (Jimmy Bikas) is an Ordained Minister and taught Eric and his brothers (Patrick and Kevin) family values they could use in everyday life. Eric feels the lessons his mother and father have instilled in him will let him be very productive in life, even though it might not always be the most “popular” thing to do.
