Info"The People's Mayor"

Experienced business owner
Motivated to reform essential government and abolish all and any unnecessary government
Political experience is derived from a consumer’s perspective in dealing with a far- reaching government which promises too much and delivers very little.
Philosophy, stick to the constitution and many of our troubles can be addressed

Anna Maria Brennan, married to Michael Brennan for 17 years. We have four children: Steven, Margaret, Ana and Catherine. I have lived in Phoenix for eighteen year grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I graduated from Marquette University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Along with raising my children, I currently manage my husband’s medical practice and represent an Italian winery Terre de Trinci. I have a pilot’s certificate and, yes, I own a gun.

I came to this country when I was seven years old, English is my second language and yes I am an Immigrant. I watched my father work three jobs just to keep a roof over our head and food on our table. As if life wasn't hard enough, the dollar had to be stretched even further when my father, a man with a third grade education, realized that the free schools our government offered {and his taxes paid for} were barely teaching his children let alone providing a safe environment for his precious five. The public school system was broken then and it is broken now. My experience in politics comes from direct hands on experience. In Wisconsin I opened a restaurant against all odds because of having to deal with government bureaucracy. I was successful at obtaining a liquor license when my city council representative refused to even let me schedule an appointment to discuss the details. I have dealt with the shenanigans of historical preservation on my business property and over taxation to the point where you just want to quit and say what's the point. In phoenix I represented my self in a zoning case that spanned six years of my life and costly attorney’s fee for all parties involved. Three of the candidates that are running for mayor were some of the main characters in that drama. I've dealt with the city's previous city manager Mr. Fairbanks but have not had the honor of meeting our newest city manager Mr. Cavazos, whose credentials so impressed the current city council members that they voted him into the highest position in our city government 7-0 only after adding a clause to his contract requiring him to comply with the city’s Ethics Policy.

To change the course of our down spiraling government we must go to the consumers, its citizens. Who better than they can tell us where government has fallen short and direct the necessary changes to stop this free fall? Lawyers, lobbyist and career politicians have brought us to this point, common sense will lead us out. Anna Brennan is the voice of common sense.
