| Info | John Doak has spent most of his adult life providing insurance options to Oklahomans, particularly in the Tulsa area. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor of arts degree in political science in 1989, John started his own Farmer's Insurance Agency branch in Tulsa. For the next six years, John ran his small business and received numerous awards and commendations from Farmer's Insurance for the effectiveness of his branch.
After leaving Farmer's Insurance, John began working on the executive level in the insurance industry. John has served as an executive at Marsh, Aon Risk Services, HNI Risk Services, and Ascension Insurance, where he was senior vice president of acquisitions. John's experience from the branch level to the board room gives him an understanding of the insurance industry that few can match. John knows how insurance works and as insurance commissioner he'll work with the industry and advocate for common-sense solutions to insurance issues.
John lives in Tulsa with his wife, Debby, and their two children, Zack and Kasey. The Doaks have long been involved in Tulsa civic life with John serving as a former board member for the Tulsa Ronald McDonald house, Tulsa Opera and Dillon International Adoption Agency. John also has served as a member of the Oklahoma Governor's Round Table for Business Development.
