InfoI’m Kevin Bradley and I’d like to represent you in Colorado’s 5th Congressional District.

I was born and raised in Denver; while at East High School, I was introduced to the nonprofit, public health care program Amigos de las Americas. It changed my life. I spent the next five summers in Ecuador, Guatemala, Bolivia and Honduras working in public health programs in rural communities. My interest in Latin America and its people led me to earn a degree in Spanish from Metropolitan State College in Denver.

I then worked for a minority contractor to the Minerals Management Service of the Department of the Interior computerizing oil and gas leases on federal and Indian land, saving for graduate school. I attended the American Graduate School of International Management (now, Thunderbird School of Global Management) and received a Master's degree in International Management.

Seeking to continue my international career, I moved to Washington, DC. My first job was with CACI, a contractor to the Department of Justice, where I worked as a paralegal in the Toxic Torts Branch and later in the Aviation and Admiralty Branch of the Civil Division. I took advantage of an offer to work as a legal assistant in the international section in one of the world's largest law firms: Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. There I worked on claims before the Iran-US Claims Tribunal in the Hague, Netherlands, antitrust matters, and on trade cases before the Department of Commerce. I became the assistant editor of the journal Europe 1992 – Law and Strategy while working at Morgan Lewis. I was also charged with FARA (Foreign Agents Reporting Act) reporting and compliance firm-wide under the direction of the partners.

In 1991 I returned to Colorado and settled in Florence, where I have lived ever since. I worked for a local manufacturer, Ajak Industries, as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. I traveled the world promoting American-made satellite dish mounts. Prior to joining Ajak I had opened a small antiquarian bookshop and art gallery in the Rialto Theater which later morphed into a wholesale operation and an online shop.

Ten years ago I became involved in local government, serving on the City's Planning Commission, and later on the City Council. I sat on the Board of Advisers to Pueblo Community College, The Gold Belt Tour Scenic Byway Tour Board of Directors, and UAACOG's Recycling Board. I also got involved with the Fremont County Democratic Party, eventually becoming Treasurer and then Chairman.

At the State Democratic CD5 Assembly and Convention in Broomfield I was selected and unanimously confirmed as the Democratic candidate for US House of Representatives. I relish the opportunity to represent the citizens of Colorado's 5th Congressional District, our State, and our Country in the 111th Congress.

For the next several months I will be on a listening tour of the 5th Congressional District, and I will continue to listen as I represent you in Washington.
