| Info | I am a lifelong resident of the district. My father’s family is from the Schuylkill Haven area, where I was born. We moved to the Hegins Valley, where my mother was raised, when I was one year old, and that is where I grew up. I graduated from Tri Valley high school then from Elizabethtown College.
My father was in the insurance business and began his practice with an office in our house. Upon graduation from Elizabethtown College, I began working with my father in the insurance field.
Professionally, I have been a small business owner for the past 20 years, with my initial business being located in Hegins. Throughout the years, we have expanded that business and opened additional locations. Currently, we have 3 offices in Schuylkill County – Hegins, Cressona, Tamaqua, and two locations in the Lehigh Valley – Hellertown and Allentown.
Personally, I moved to Pottsville after getting married over 18 years ago. I am extremely blessed with a supportive family - my wife, Amie, and two daughters, Lexi and Mikaela.
I find great reward in supporting our local communities through various social organizations. I have served as a past board member (and then president) of the Family Service Agency, an organization which provides counseling services for individuals and families in need, and have also served as a board member and past president of Saint Joseph Center for Special Learning, a special education program for students ages 4 through 21. I have participated as a board member for the Schuylkill United Way and acted as the chairperson of last year’s successful campaign, and I am a charter member of the Tri Valley Lions Club.
