Info | Randy Altschuler is widely recognized as a pioneer and successful entrepreneur in small business.
Raised by a single mom working to bring up two sons and going on to become a successful businesswoman herself, Randy and his brother learned at an early age the difficult challenges families often face. The importance of a strong work ethic was also reinforced by hearing stories about his immigrant grandparents who came to our country in their pursuit of the American dream.
Randy understands that determination and setting goals are important. That's why, from the factory floor to the board room, he has earned a reputation as a cooperative problem solver, experienced job creator and team builder.
Committed to rebuild our nation's struggling economy and create jobs, reform the culture and priorities in Washington and be a strong advocate for Long Island's families and its natural environment, Randy is an experienced leader for the new challenges we must face together.
In 2008, Randy co-founded and was named Executive Chairman of CloudBlue, a leading provider of recycling services for electronic equipment, including computers, servers and printers.
With a dozen facilities across the United States, CloudBlue is responsible for many aspects of managing electronic equipment, including recycling, refurbishment, risk management, data security and logistics.
Randy Altschuler was the co-founder and chief executive officer of OfficeTiger, a company dedicated to upgrading business support services and bolstering the job market.
Under Randy's leadership, OfficeTiger expanded globally from his one-bedroom apartment to a business of over 4,000 people prior to its acquisition by RR Donnelley in April of 2006.
Altschuler was selected by Institutional Investor as one of the top influencers in the finance industry and was named a winner in the New York Top Ten Awards by the Executive Council of New York.
Randy is a member of the Smithtown Chamber of Commerce and an active participant with New Yorkers for Growth.
Altschuler received his B.A. with High Honors from Princeton University. He received an MBA with Distinction from the Harvard Business School following study in Vienna, Austria as a Fulbright Scholar.
Randy is married to Cheryl Altschuler, MD, a practicing pediatrician in Shirley and Port Jefferson, New York.
Randy and Cheryl have a young son, Noah, and reside in St. James, New York.
