Pothier with the rank of colonel 1909-1913; member of the State house of representatives 1911-1913, serving as speaker in 1912; elected as a Republican to the Sixty-third and to the four succeeding Congresses (March 4, 1913-March 3, 1923); was not a candidate for renomination in 1922; resumed the practice of law; died in Woonsocket, R.I., March 10, 1967; interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Blackstone, Mass.
