Info | Barbara L. Hollenbach, a shareholder in the Lehigh Valley law firm of Tallman, Hudders, and Sorrentino, P.C., has been engaged in the practice of law for almost thirty (30) years. During that time, her practice has focused on civil litigation, including products liability, professional liability, general liability, Orphan's Court, and workers' compensation matters. She has tried cases in both state and federal courts through Eastern Pennsylvania. In 2006 and 2008, she was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer by Philadelphia Magazine.
A native of Reading, Pennsylvania, Ms. Hollenbach earned her degrees at the Pennsylvania State University (B.A., with highest distinction; Phi Beta Kappa, 1975) and Dickinson School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1978), where she was an editor of the Dickinson Law Review.
From 1978-80, Ms. Hollenbach was a law clerk to the Honorable Alfred T. Williams, Jr., President Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Northampton County.
An active member of the Bar Associations, Ms. Hollenbach was the first woman elected President of the Northampton County Bar Association. For the last 15 years, she has been a delegate to the Pennsylvania Bar Association's House of Delegates. Ms. Hollenbach currently chairs the PBA's Workers' Compensation Section and is a member of the Council on Judicial Independence. Previously, she served on the Certifying and Review Board. She is also a member of the American Bar Association.
Ms. Hollenbach is a long-time community volunteer in Bethlehem, where she resides. She is a member and past President of Quota International of Bethlehem and is active with its Cops 'n' Kids children's literacy program. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Historic Bethlehem, Inc., and the Kemmerer Museum of the Decorative Arts and the Bethlehem Public Library's Room to Grow Advisory Board. Ms. Hollenbach served as President of the YWCA of Bethlehem's Board of Directors, currently chairs the YW's Advisory Board, and is a member of the Women and Teen of the Year Awards Committee. She previously served on the Board of Directors of Girls, Inc. of Bethlehem, Family & Counseling Services of the Lehigh Valley, of which she was President, and Northampton County Homemaker and Health Aide Service, Inc.
Ms. Hollenbach was honored as a Woman of the Year by the YWCA of Bethlehem in 2008. In 2007, she was a recognized by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce as an Athena Honoree, which recognizes initiatives in women's leadership.
