InfoKevin Hall is a Richland County Republican with the energy, experience and dedication we need to lead our Party to victory in 2010. As a grassroots activist and advisor to the SCGOP, its candidates and their campaigns, Kevin knows how to compete and how to win.

Born December 3, 1964, Kevin graduated from Henderson High School in Chamblee, Georgia in 1983. He attended the University of South Carolina's Honors College and earned his bachelor's degree in International Studies in 1987. In 1990, Kevin graduated from Emory University School of Law. He served as law clerk to the Honorable Robert F. Chapman on the United States Court of Appeals – Fourth Circuit.

Kevin has worked as grassroots activist in the Republican Party since 1980, when, as a 15-year old, he volunteered for Ronald Reagan's primary and general election campaign. In recognition of his youthful energy and enthusiasm, Kevin was selected as a Youth Delegate to the 1980 Republican National Convention in Detroit, Michigan. Kevin got his start in South Carolina politics as student at USC, where he served as a student volunteer for John Courson's first Senate campaign in 1984. Since then, Kevin has worked in his home county (Richland), across the state and across the country as a volunteer, counselor and fundraiser for the Republican Party and its candidates.

Each election cycle, Kevin has been instrumental in recruiting, training and coordinating poll watchers and Election Day legal operations in South Carolina and other states. He has served as a county convention delegate, a state convention delegate, and as president of the 6th Congressional District Convention. He is a sustaining member of the Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) and is a frequent presenter at RNLA seminars and the RNLA's Election School, which trains GOP lawyers across the country in election law and related issues. Kevin also is an active member of the conservative Federalist Society.

In addition to his grassroots efforts for the Party and its candidates, Kevin played an instrumental strategic role in several statewide campaigns. In 2002, he took a 6-month sabbatical from his law practice to advise and help manage Governor Sanford's campaign and transition, and he has since served as the governor's appointee on several commissions and task forces.

In 2004, Kevin assisted Senator Jim DeMint in his inaugural Senate campaign and advised Senator DeMint on a variety of issues related to campaign finance regulation, election law, and election strategy. He also has served as Treasurer of Senator Lindsey Graham's campaign committee.

In 2008, Kevin served as Finance Committee Co-Chair for the SCGOP's Victory Committee, and he was elected as an alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention. Kevin and his 15-year old daughter, Mary Katherine, attended the convention with the rest of the South Carolina delegation in St. Paul, Minnesota.

In his law practice, Kevin has represented numerous Republican candidates and conservative causes on a pro bono basis. He has served as legal counsel to the South Carolina Republican Party, Senators Jim DeMint and Lindsey Graham, and Governor Mark Sanford. He also represented South Carolina Citizens for Life in its pursuit of a "Choose Life" license plate, and he was selected by the State of South Carolina to defend the "I Believe" license plate created by the General Assembly in 2008. Kevin received the 2008 President's Award from South Carolina Citizens for Life in recognition of his successful efforts to win approval of the "Choose Life" license plate.

Kevin and his wife, Jamie, celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary last summer. They are the parents of four children – Mary Katherine (15), Callie (13), Sam (10) and Lizzie (7).
