O’Connor to the Forty-sixth Congress; successfully contested the election of Michael P. O’Connor to the Forty-seventh Congress, succeeding Samuel Dibble, who presented credentials as a Member-elect to fill the vacancy thought to exist upon the death of Mr. O’Connor, which occurred while the contest was pending; reelected to the Forty-eighth Congress and served from May 31, 1882, until his death in Washington, D.C., on January 27, 1884; interment in Glenwood Cemetery.
