InfoKevin was born in Flatrock, a small community on the Northeast Avalon Peninsula, in 1961. He is the son of former MHA and Progressive Conservative Cabinet Minister, Kevin Parsons Sr., and Mabel Parsons, a public health nurse for 32 years. A graduate of the College of North Atlantic in 1980 with a diploma in Electronics, Kevin has worked for IKON Office Solutions for 27 years.

Kevin's volunteer involvement stems from a keen interest in sports and concern for his community. Mayor of Flatrock from 2005 until his nomination as the PC candidate for the Cape St. Francis by-election, Kevin has also served as President of the Flatrock Community Centre, the Avalon East Hockey League, and coach of the Holy Trinity High Boys' Hockey Team. Kevin also served in various capacities for the Avalon Minor Hockey Association, Flatrock Men's Softball League and was a former manager and player with the Flatrock Flyers Senior Hockey Team.

Kevin currently resides in Flatrock with his son David (19), and daughter Nicole (22).

Kevin was elected in the Cape St. Francis by-election on August 27, 2008 and sworn in as the MHA on September 12, 2008.
