InfoWho is Alan Bellone? The short answer is a businessman...
Alan's career started in the early 1980's. His first corporate venture was with a company called Wang Laboratories. Wang Labs produced computing equipment. The company originally sold only word processing systems, but as the 80's continued, Wang labs moved into the data processing and personal computer arena. Alan's job was to ensure that the sales reps recieved the information they needed in a timely fashion to increase sales. Excelling in this function, Alan moved up into an area position which included more responsibility.
Later into the 80's, Alan worked as a consultant to technology in companies such as NYNEX, Grumman and Barclay's Bank. The experience of working with professionals in different areas increased Alan's knowledge base exponentially.
In the early 90's, Alan worked full time at Natwest Bank. It was here where Alan climbed the corporate ladder. He started work on the help desk, instructing users on how to correct computing problems the users came across. Within 3 short years, Alan was in charge of data centers in 3 states and his staff encompassed 25 support reps. When Natwest was sold in 1998, Alan moved on to Katz Media where he worked directly for the CIO. Here, facing Y2K issues, he mastered a plan that converted 21 offices from old IBM terminals to up to date personal computers. The coordination was complex since the offices were spread across the country. In all, over 2000 users were converted and the Y2K issue was non-existant for Katz Media.
Two years later Alan left Katz and went on to a law firm to run technology world wide. While there, Alan's second son was born, and due to his sons medical issues, left the coporate world to take care of his family.
In 2003, Alan partnered with a friend in a silk screen printing and embroidery business. The business struggled for the first two years. It was then that Alan's partner decided to relocate to another state. Alan became the sole owner of the corporation. Over the years, the business has evolved and has continued to grow.
After two re-locations, the businees continues to grow. The business has re-located into a New York City Economic Development Corp building. Utilizing the NYCEDC building has proved effective to the growth of the business.
