Crumpacker; reelected to the Seventy-first Congress and served from October 18, 1927, to March 3, 1931; unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1930 to the Seventy-second Congress; served as special assistant to the general counsel of the United States Treasury Department 1931-1943 and in the chief counsel’s office of the Bureau of Internal Revenue 1943-1959; lived in Alexandria, Va., until his death there on June 7, 1965; interment in Arlington National Cemetery.
