InfoKurt George Glassco was born September 7, 1955 in Seminole, Oklahoma. He is married to Kathleen Pierce Glassco, a Certified Public Accountant and Business Administrator of First United Methodist Church of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and they have two daughters, Molly, age 16, and Jennifer Ann, age 12. The family resides in Tulsa and are members of First United Methodist Church.

A graduate of Nathan Hale High School, Kurt received his B.S. from Oklahoma State University and his J.D. from the University of Tulsa. After graduating from law school he became an Assistant District Attorney in Tulsa County.

In 1984 Kurt was appointed Counsel to the Governor and served as Governor George Nigh's legal counsel until 1986. Kurt was the Democratic nominee for United States Congress for the 1st District Oklahoma (metro Tulsa area) in 1988 and 1990. Upon leaving government service he has been engaged in the general practice of law and is a partner in the firm of McCollam & Glassco, P.A. primarily representing individuals and small businesses, in both civil and criminal matters as well as a significant family law practice.

Kurt has served as the Tulsa District Lay Leader of the United Methodist Church from 1977 to 2005. He has served his local church as trustee, finance committee chairman, treasurer, Sunday school class president (168 members), and Sunday school teacher for adults and children. He presently serves as President, Conference Board of Trustees; The Tulsa District Committee on Ministry, and is a Certified Lay Speaker. He was an alternate delegate to the 2000 General Conference and a delegate to the 2000 Jurisdictional Conference. He was a delegate to the 2004 General and Jurisdictional Conference.

Since 2002, Kurt has served as the Lay Supply Pastor to Harvard Avenue United Methodist Church. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Tulsa County Bar Association and the Professional Responsibility Committee of the Oklahoma Bar Association.

Kurt's community service includes Sunrise Rotary Club, Handicapped Opportunity Workshop of Tulsa, American Theater Company, City of Tulsa Judicial Nominating Committee and The Metropolitan Tulsa Urban League.
